Functional Head of Pharmacovigilance

We are looking for a Functional Head of Pharmacovigilance to strengthen our Pharmacovigilance Department, to start at the earliest possible opportunity.

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for departmental and work organisation, for projects and for allocating tasks to staff
• Business control and monitoring of all projects within the department 
• Determination of intra-departmental rules and processes as well as clarification of roles, competences and tasks
• Functional instruction and development as well as management and coaching of allocated staff 
• Representation of the company and the department vis-à-vis customers, authorities and associations
• Acquisition of new and existing customers 
• Responsibility for the planning, implementation of projects in consultation with the Head of Pharmacovigilance as well as the preparation of quotations and invoices
• Regular reporting to the Section Head and central coordination of systematic problems which could endanger the appropriate coordination of tasks and the development of solutions
• Ensuring the observance of internal standards and external (national and international) regulations
• Representation of absent heads of department in the Pharmacovigilance Section 

Requirements:

• University degree in medicine, pharmacy or natural sciences, ideally with PhD
• Several years of professional experience and sound expertise in the field of pharmacovigilance and related aspects, comprehensive knowledge of medical, pharmaceutical and clinical practice as well as detailed knowledge of the related SOPs (global and local) and the relevant laws 
• Experience in the definition and introduction of processes and rules as well as basic knowledge of business management and experience in the economic steering of projects
• Ideally, experience in personnel management 
• A confident and eloquent manner
• The ability to organise operational processes and to manage different tasks simultaneously 
• The ability to analyse problems and to develop solution proposals
• Very good user-related EDP skills in MS Office
• Very good command of German and English (spoken and written)
